How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Your Role

    You'll act as the trusted advisor to clients throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance while delivering commercially focused Health & Safety solutions.


    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Leading the delivery of Principal Designer and CDM Advisor services across multiple projects.
    • Providing expert advice on CDM 2015 and wider Health & Safety legislation.
    • Reviewing Construction Phase Plans, Pre-Construction Information and Health & Safety Files.
    • Carrying out site inspections, audits and compliance reviews.
    • Attending design team meetings and advising clients throughout project delivery.
    • Building long-term relationships with both new and existing clients.
    • Supporting and mentoring junior consultants, helping to develop the London team.
    • Identifying opportunities for business growth and contributing to the continued success of the regional office.

    About You

    We're keen to speak with professionals who can demonstrate:

    • NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent).
    • Membership of IOSH and/or APS.
    • Strong experience delivering CDM Principal Designer services within a consultancy environment.
    • Excellent understanding of the CDM Regulations 2015.
    • The confidence to engage with clients, contractors and design teams at all levels.
    • Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to developing client relationships.
    • A full UK Driving Licence.
