Are you a supply chain resilience expert with a passion for safeguarding critical national capabilities?
We're seeking a Supply Chain Resilience SME to join a highly respected UK public body that plays a vital role in supporting national priorities, security, and resilience. In this senior specialist position, you will help ensure that critical materials, technologies, and services remain secure, reliable, and resilient in an increasingly complex global environment.
The Role
As the subject matter expert for supply chain resilience, you will:
- Lead supply chain resilience strategies across complex technical and operational supply chains.
- Identify vulnerabilities, dependencies, supplier concentration risks, and single points of failure.
- Assess geopolitical, regulatory, cyber, and market-driven threats that could impact critical supply.
- Develop mitigation strategies, alternative sourcing approaches, supplier assurance frameworks, and contingency plans.
- Support procurement and commercial teams with supplier due diligence and risk-based decision making.
- Lead response activities during supply chain disruptions and drive recovery planning.
- Engage with senior stakeholders, government bodies, industry partners, and specialist suppliers to strengthen resilience across critical national programmes.
About You
You'll bring:
- Deep expertise in supply chain risk, resilience, assurance, and business continuity.
- Experience gained within Defence, Critical National Infrastructure, Manufacturing, Engineering, Logistics, or similarly regulated environments.
- Strong understanding of complex technical supply chains and supplier risk management.
- Experience assessing geopolitical, cyber, regulatory, and operational risks.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex risks into actionable recommendations.
- Current SC/DV Security Clearance.
