How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    A scaling Payments Fintech is seeking an experienced Fractional MLRO to join on a part-time basis (expected 2 days per week) to lead the build-out of a robust anti-financial crime framework ahead of an upcoming EMI licence application with the FCA.


    This is a hands-on, high-impact role for a senior financial crime professional who can design and embed policies, procedures, and controls from the ground up, while acting as the credible face of financial crime risk management to the regulator and key stakeholders.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Take on MLRO responsibilities and act as the designated point of contact for financial crime matters
    • Design, implement, and continuously improve an AML/CTF and wider financial crime framework appropriate for a payments/e-money business
    • Lead financial crime input into the FCA EMI licence application, including supporting documentation and regulatory engagement
    • Advise the board and senior stakeholders on financial crime risk, regulatory expectations, and control effectiveness
    • Build scalable processes and governance structures suited to a growing fintech


    Requirements

    • Strong background in Financial Crime within payments/e-money, crypto or fintech environments
    • Proven experience holding MLRO responsibilities in a similar regulated setting
    • Direct experience supporting or leading licence application processes (EMI/PI or similar) with the FCA
    • Confident, credible communicator with strong experience engaging regulators, boards, and senior stakeholders
    • Comfortable working autonomously in a part-time, embedded capacity within a fast-moving scale-up
