The Client:
A leading Lloyds insurer are looking for a NQ-2 PQE* commercial lawyer to join their legal team. Working autonomously, you will be responsible for a range of legal matters across the business.
They have an excellent hybrid policy in place, only requiring office attendance once a fortnight or once a month.
Key Responsibilities:
Working as part of a small team of lawyers, you will be responsible for the following:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including supplier agreements, vendor contracts, and customer terms and conditions.
- assisting with the drafting, review and negotiation of insurance specific agreements such as binding authority agreements, TOBAs etc
- Assisting with privacy, employment and other matters as they arise
- Provide assistance with maintaining the legal precedent bank; and assist with providing training to the business on new and ongoing legal and compliance issues
- Provide support to the business on the onboarding of new clients
- Working in multidisciplinary teams across various departments, including product development, marketing, and human resources, ensuring that all business activities comply with applicable laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
You will be a qualified solicitor in England & Wales, or due to qualify shortly, with:
- Experience gained during a training seat in commercial insurance, financial services regulation, commercial contracts or corporate matters involving insurance clients.
- Excellent contract negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proactive, detail oriented, and able to thrive in a fast paced, innovative environment. Strong problem solving abilities and a collaborative mindset.
*Candidates outside this PQE range with the prerequisite experience would be considered for this role.
