BESS Procurement Specialist
London | Hybrid | Renewable Energy
We're looking for a BESS Procurement Specialist to join our growing Procurement team and play a key role in delivering a pipeline of utility-scale Battery Energy Storage (BESS) projects across the UK and Europe.
Reporting to the Head of Procurement, you'll lead supplier engagement and sourcing activities across battery systems, PCS, EMS, long-term service agreements and other key storage packages, helping shape procurement strategy for some of the market's most exciting energy storage developments.
Working closely alongside our existing team, you'll bring deep market knowledge, strong supplier relationships and commercial insight to support project delivery from development through to construction.
What you'll be doing
- Leading procurement activities for utility-scale BESS projects
- Building and managing relationships with battery manufacturers, integrators and technology suppliers
- Driving sourcing strategies and commercial negotiations
- Monitoring market trends, pricing and supply chain developments
- Supporting supplier selection, technical evaluations and procurement recommendations
- Working cross-functionally with Engineering, Development, Construction and Finance teams
What we're looking for
- Strong procurement, sourcing or category management experience within energy storage, renewables, power or utilities
- Good understanding of BESS technology, supplier landscape and commercial structures
- Experience working with battery OEMs, integrators or EPC contractors
- Commercially minded with strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills
- Passion for renewable energy and energy storage
