How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Commercial Real Estate Associate | NQ - 2 PQE | West End | Chambers, Spears & Legal 500 Ranked

This is an outstanding opportunity to join one of London's leading Commercial Real Estate teams within a highly regarded Top 70 West End law firm. If you are a Commercial Real Estate Solicitor with up to 2 years' PQE looking to build your career in a market-leading practice, this role offers exposure to exceptional quality work, outstanding clients and genuine long-term progression.

Joining one of the largest specialist Real Estate teams in the London market, you will work alongside highly regarded Partners on a broad range of sophisticated commercial property transactions, benefiting from close supervision, early responsibility and a collaborative environment designed to accelerate your development.

    The Firm

This highly regarded Legal 500, Chambers and Spears ranked law firm has built an exceptional reputation across Real Estate, Private Wealth, Corporate, Construction, Dispute Resolution and many other specialist practice areas. The firm consistently advises on some of the UK's most significant property transactions, acting for institutional investors, developers, landed estates, high-net-worth individuals, family offices and major commercial organisations.

The firm is widely recognised for delivering City-quality work within a genuinely supportive and collaborative culture. Lawyers enjoy significant client exposure from an early stage, working directly with Partners and developing strong commercial relationships while gaining responsibility beyond their level of PQE.

You will find a forward-thinking, inclusive and people-focused culture where professional development is genuinely prioritised. The firm offers excellent training, clear opportunities for progression, hybrid working and a healthy work-life balance, together with an active social calendar and a strong commitment to wellbeing, diversity and community engagement.

    The Team

The Commercial Real Estate department is one of the largest and most respected specialist real estate practices in the London market, comprising more than 100 lawyers who advise throughout the full lifecycle of commercial property assets.

The team acts for an outstanding client base including institutional investors, property companies, developers, investment funds, lenders, housing associations, landed estates, charities, occupiers, overseas investors and high-net-worth individuals. They regularly advise on investment acquisitions and disposals, complex mixed-use developments, corporate occupier requirements, joint ventures, portfolio transactions and high-value regeneration projects across the UK.

The practice is particularly well known for its partner-led approach, technical excellence and commercially focused advice. Lawyers benefit from close collaboration across the firm's market-leading Private Wealth, Corporate and Construction teams, enabling them to work on complex, multidisciplinary matters while developing broad commercial expertise.

Despite the scale and quality of the work, the culture remains approachable, supportive and highly collaborative, with Associates receiving excellent mentoring, meaningful responsibility and clear opportunities for long-term career progression.

    The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Real Estate Associate (NQ-2 PQE) to join one of London's premier real estate practices.

You will advise on a broad range of high-quality commercial real estate matters, including:

    • Commercial property acquisitions and disposals
    • Mixed-use and residential development projects
    • Commercial lettings and asset management
    • Landlord and tenant matters
    • Development and regeneration work
    • Portfolio transactions
    • Investment property matters
    • Corporate occupier work
    • Real estate aspects of wider corporate transactions

A significant focus of the role will involve acting for a major national housing association on a variety of complex commercial property matters. Whilst previous experience within the social housing sector would be advantageous, it is by no means essential, and the team welcomes candidates with strong commercial real estate experience from comparable City or leading regional firms.

This role provides an exceptional platform to develop your technical expertise while working closely with experienced Partners on high-profile transactions for an enviable client base. As the team continues to grow, there will be excellent opportunities to take on increasing responsibility, develop client relationships and progress your career within one of London's leading real estate practices.

    The Ideal Candidate

    • England & Wales qualified solicitor with NQ-2 years' PQE in Commercial Real Estate.
    • Suitable for trainees who are set to qualify in September 2026 with exceptional backgrounds!
    • Experience gained within a respected City, West End or leading regional law firm.
    • Exposure to commercial property acquisitions and disposals, development work and landlord and tenant matters.
    • Experience of mixed-use developments or commercial lettings would be advantageous.
    • Strong technical ability with excellent drafting and analytical skills.
    • Commercially minded with excellent attention to detail.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build lasting client relationships.
    • Organised, proactive and capable of managing competing priorities within a busy practice.
    • A collaborative team player with a genuine enthusiasm for Commercial Real Estate.

    Benefits

    • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
    • Hybrid working arrangements.
    • Exposure to market-leading Commercial Real Estate work.
    • Direct access to highly regarded Partners and exceptional mentoring.
    • Clear career progression within one of London's leading Real Estate teams.
    • High-quality training and ongoing professional development.
    • A genuinely supportive, collaborative and inclusive culture.
    • Opportunities to participate in responsible business, community and pro bono initiatives.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Commercial Real Estate Associate to join one of London's leading property practices, working with an outstanding client base while developing your career within a collaborative and forward-thinking firm.
