How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

The Advocate Group are recruiting on behalf of an incredible, globally recognised consumer product brand, for an experienced HR Advisor to join their HR team on a 6-month fixed-term contract.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing organisation where you'll play a key role in delivering expert Employee Relations support across a diverse and fast-paced business. Working closely with managers and HR colleagues, you'll provide commercially focused advice, manage complex ER casework and support organisational change initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage a high volume of complex Employee Relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence, conduct, harassment and discrimination matters.
    • Provide expert advice to managers on Employee Relations issues, UK employment law and company policies.
    • Lead and support investigations, hearings and formal consultation processes.
    • Assess risk and recommend pragmatic, commercially balanced solutions.
    • Support organisational change activity, including restructures, redundancies and organisational design initiatives.
    • Coach and support managers to build confidence and capability in handling Employee Relations matters.
    • Identify trends through case analysis and contribute to continuous improvement of ER policies and processes.
    • Maintain accurate case documentation and ensure compliance with employment legislation and internal governance.
    • Provide support across wider HR activities as required, working collaboratively with the HR team.

    About You

We're looking for an experienced HR Advisor with a strong background in Employee Relations who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys solving complex people challenges.

    You'll ideally have:

    • Proven experience managing high-volume, complex Employee Relations casework.
    • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and Employee Relations best practice.
    • Previous experience in an HR Advisor or Employee Relations-focused HR role.
    • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
    • The ability to balance commercial priorities with fair and consistent decision-making.
    • Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
    • Confidence handling sensitive conversations and navigating ambiguity.
    • Experience supporting organisational change and restructuring activity.
    • CIPD Level 5 qualification (or working towards) is desirable.

If you're an experienced HR Advisor with a passion for Employee Relations and are looking to make a real impact within a globally recognised business, we'd love to hear from you.
