How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Embroidery Designer | 12-Month FTC

Create Recruitment is partnering with a highly regarded London-based luxury womenswear brand to recruit an Embroidery Designer on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This is an exceptional opportunity to join an independent luxury fashion house celebrated for its exquisite hand-embellished collections, intricate craftsmanship and distinctive storytelling. Renowned for creating collectible ready-to-wear and bridal pieces that blend historical influences with a contemporary aesthetic, the brand has built an international following for its artistry, attention to detail and commitment to exceptional quality.

Working closely with the Founder & Creative Director and Design Director, you'll play a pivotal role in developing embroidery and embellishment across seasonal collections, bridal and special projects. This is a highly creative, hands-on position where you'll take embroidery concepts from initial inspiration through to production, researching historical, artistic and cultural references, creating original embroidery and embellishment artworks, and developing both hand-drawn and digital motifs, layouts and placement designs.

You'll collaborate with embroidery ateliers and suppliers throughout the sampling and production process, reviewing swatches, strike-offs and prototypes, providing detailed feedback, tracking developments and ensuring every piece meets the brand's exacting standards. Working closely with Product Development, you'll help balance creativity with technical feasibility while continually exploring new techniques, materials and embellishment innovations.

We're looking for a highly creative designer with outstanding hand-drawing and illustration skills, a refined eye for colour, composition and detail, and proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. You'll have a genuine passion for embroidery, embellishment and craftsmanship, a strong appreciation of luxury fashion, and excellent organisation and communication skills. Previous experience working with embroidery and embellishment is desirable, but we're equally interested in candidates with exceptional artistic ability and a willingness to learn.

This is a rare opportunity to become part of a growing luxury fashion brand where craftsmanship, creativity and storytelling are at the heart of everything they do. If you're passionate about creating beautifully considered pieces and want to contribute to an internationally recognised design team, we'd love to hear from you.
