How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    The Opportunity

Our client, a leading international law firm, is seeking a talented disputes associate to join its London office.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex, cross-border disputes for a diverse international client base. The team is known for handling high-value matters with an international dimension, offering associates early responsibility, close partner interaction and exposure to a broad range of commercial disputes.

    The Role

You'll join a collaborative disputes practice where lawyers work across a varied mix of commercial litigation and international arbitration matters, rather than specialising too early in one area. The role offers the opportunity to build a broad disputes practice while working on sophisticated, multi-jurisdictional cases alongside experienced practitioners.

    Responsibilities

    • Assisting on complex commercial disputes from inception through to resolution
    • Drafting pleadings, witness statements, submissions and other key case documents
    • Supporting arbitration proceedings under leading international arbitration rules
    • Working on cross-border disputes involving multiple jurisdictions and legal systems
    • Contributing to hearing preparation, case strategy and evidence management
    • Liaising directly with clients, counsel and colleagues across international offices
    • Taking an active role in business development and knowledge-sharing initiatives

    Candidate Profile

    Applicants should have:

    • 2–4 years' PQE in commercial litigation, international arbitration or a combination of both
    • Experience gained at a recognised disputes practice
    • Strong drafting, analytical and case management skills
    • An interest in working across both litigation and arbitration matters
    • Excellent academic credentials and strong communication skills
    • A collaborative approach and the ability to thrive in an international team environment

Applications are welcomed from England & Wales qualified solicitors and overseas-qualified lawyers with relevant disputes experience.
