What if you could build the future of reserving, rather than just deliver it?
We're working with a global consulting business making a significant investment in the non-life insurance market, and they're looking for an actuary who can bridge the gap between actuarial expertise and technology.
This isn't a traditional reserving role.
You'll work alongside a team of AI specialists, Python developers and software engineers who have the technical capability to build market-leading solutions—but they need someone who understands the day-to-day reality of general insurance reserving.
You'll help answer questions like:
• Which reserving tasks should be automated?
• Where do actuaries spend the most time?
• How can AI improve analysis without compromising judgement?
• What tools would genuinely transform the reserving process?
You'll shape the product roadmap, define requirements, test solutions and ensure the technology being built solves real-world problems for reserving teams.
We're looking for someone who:
- Has a strong background in non-life reserving.
- Understands reserving processes from data through to reporting.
- Enjoys improving processes and finding smarter ways of working.
- Has an interest in technology, automation, AI or Python (you don't need to be a developer).
- Can translate actuarial problems into technical solutions and collaborate with engineers.
This is an opportunity to step away from business-as-usual reserving and have a genuine impact on how the profession works in the future.
If you've ever found yourself saying "there has to be a better way of doing this", this could be the role you've been waiting for.
