Ready to revolutionize global logistics?
Join Reelables and help us transform how the world tracks packages. We’re pioneering paper-thin smart shipping labels using Bluetooth and 5G to track millions of packages globally — and we’re building the software platform that makes that data usable at scale.
Who we are:
At Reelables we are redefining how cargo and assets are tracked around the world. We have created the world’s first ultra-thin Bluetooth and Cellular 5G tracking labels that provide logistics visibility anywhere at an unheard of price. Scaling production is our top priority.
We’re hiring a Head of Production to take ownership of our end-to-end manufacturing operation, ensuring we can meet rapidly growing customer demand with consistency and quality.
This role is responsible for our in-house manufacturing operation - overseeing the production floor, equipment, processes, and team. You’ll lead and develop the people on the ground, improve how we operate, and ensure output scales in line with demand.
Responsibilities:
In the first few months, your focus will be on:
• Developing a deep understanding of the current production lines and way of working
• Introducing, standardising and capturing processes to drive consistency
• Establishing enhanced patterns of working for the production and engineering teams
• Identifying skill gaps and process improvements required in the team
• Owning relevant aspects of health and safety related to production
Building on that you will:
• Drive consistent, reliable delivery of our tracking label products across multiple SKUs
• Champion continuous yield improvements in all aspects of production
• Lead on establishing best manufacturing processes, traceability, and achieving industry standard accreditation (ISO9001, GMP etc.)
• Take ownership of the relevant supply chain to ensure we optimise stock levels of components
• Help to develop and maintain MRP systems and processes
• Collaborate with sales and operations team to communicate lead-times and scheduling of customer orders
• Collaborate with R&D on the introduction of new products and the transition to BAU
operations
• Work to add additional capacity on existing lines, finding efficiencies and coordinating multiple shifts
• Support in the introduction of new lines to increase capacity
• Lead on future changes to production such as multi site operations
Experience
• Working with early stage tech companies and driving the maturation of process and systems
• Defining, capturing and optimising production processes
• Managing production staff, including rotas, overtime etc.
• Introducing quality management systems and associated accreditation such as ISO9001
• Managing lean supply chains
• Working on reel-to-reel, tension-controlled, or continuous manufacturing systems
involving tapes, labels, films, etc.
Whilst this is primarily a management role, you should be happy to roll up your sleeves and actively run the lines on occasion, to build familiarity and support the team.
