How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Managed Services Administrator

Alto is a team of 10 in Aberdeen providing Managed IT Services and Cybersecurity for businesses across the region.

We're genuinely proud of how we work, with each other and with our clients, and we're looking for someone who'll fit right in.

This role is for someone who finds real satisfaction in getting the details right. It's desk-based and built around accurate invoicing, clean records and well-run processes.  If you're the kind of person who genuinely enjoys paying attention to the details, takes pride in the quality of your work, and that appeals to you, we'd love to hear from you.

    What you'll be doing

    • Preparing, checking, and issuing client invoices accurately and on time
    • Tracking billable work and charges outside monthly service agreements
    • Reconciling purchase orders and supplier invoices
    • Handling client billing queries by phone and email
    • Maintaining client records and keeping internal processes documented and up to date.
    • Spotting where processes can be improved and helping to make that happen.

    What we're looking for

    • Real, hands-on experience in finance administration, billing, or business support
    • Confident, practical Excel skills. This is a role where you'll be in spreadsheets every day, processing data
    • Strong numerical accuracy and a keen eye for detail
    • A love of systems and processes, someone who gets satisfaction from things running properly and wants to make them even better
    • A professional, friendly manner when dealing with clients by phone and email
    • Someone who takes ownership, follows through, and cares about doing things properly

It'd be great if you also have:

    • Experience with Xero or similar accounting software
    • A background in an MSP, IT services, or professional services environment
    • Familiarity with ticketing or PSA systems
