About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Trainee Customer Care and Administrative Coordinator to join an established team based in Pontypool. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in customer service and administration within a busy, service-driven environment.
You will play a key role in supporting customers, coordinating service activities, and assisting with day-to-day administrative tasks to ensure efficient operations and excellent customer satisfaction.
Working Hours
Monday to Thursday: 08:00 - 16:00
Friday: 09:00 - 13:00
Key Responsibilities
Liaising with customers, occupiers, and the Service Engineering Field Team
Providing accurate information to support the completion of works efficiently and on schedule
Allocating site jobs to engineers and updating schedules as required
Preparing customer quotations for the finance team to secure payment
Delivering excellent customer service via telephone and email
Supporting administrative functions, including data entry and document control
Maintaining and updating internal systems and databases
Assisting with scheduling, communication, and general operational support activities
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel
Excellent attention to detail, particularly when handling reports and documentation
A polite, professional, and confident telephone manner
Strong organisational and time management skills
The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
A positive, flexible, and proactive approach to problem-solving
A collaborative attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
Desirable Experience
While not essential, the following experience would be advantageous:
Previous experience in a customer service or administrative role
Experience working in a busy office or service-led environment
Scheduling, diary management, or coordinating engineer/site visits
Knowledge of the construction, glazing, manufacturing, or housing sectors
Confidence communicating with customers, contractors, and internal departments
