At NG Bailey IT Services, we're seeking a talented Bid Manager to lead the delivery of high-quality bids and proposals while helping to develop and enhance our bid management capability across the business.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team at a pivotal stage of our journey. You'll play a key role in managing strategic opportunities across defence and non-defence sectors, working closely with Sales, Solutions, Commercial, Operational and Delivery teams to secure profitable new business and support our ambitious growth plans.

Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:
As Bid Manager, you'll take ownership of the end-to-end bid lifecycle, ensuring submissions are compelling, compliant, commercially robust and delivered on time.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing bids, tenders, frameworks and proposal submissions from qualification through to contract award
Coordinating multi-disciplinary bid teams and driving activities to challenging deadlines
Leading bid kick-off meetings, reviews and governance approvals
Developing bid plans, schedules and submission strategies
Reviewing tender documentation and supporting bid/no-bid decision making
Working with sales and solution teams to create compelling win themes and customer-focused value propositions
Coordinating contributions from technical, operational, commercial, finance and legal subject matter expert
Ensuring compliance with customer requirements, framework rules and internal governance processes
Maintaining bid libraries, lessons learned and proposal best practice
Supporting the transition of successful opportunities into delivery and mobilisation teams
Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance bid quality, efficiency and win rates.
What we're looking for
Proven experience managing bids, tenders or proposals within technology, engineering, construction, managed services or professional services environments
Strong project management and organisational skills
Excellent written communication and proposal development capabilities
Proven ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
Experience working with public or private sector procurement processes and framework agreements
Security Clearance – you must either have previously held clearance or willing to go through the process
APMP Practitioner certification or similar bid management qualification.
Experience working with government procurement frameworks such as CCS and G-Cloud
Experience within Managed Services, IT Services, Defence or MOD environments.
Knowledge of contract negotiation and commercial risk assessment.
