The Role
As Site Manager, you will lead the day-to-day management of site operations, coordinating subcontractors, direct labour, plant, and materials to ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to the required quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing daily site activities across a substantial civils package.
Driving a positive health, safety, and environmental culture with zero compromise.
Coordinating subcontractors and ensuring works are delivered in line with programme.
Ensuring compliance with engineering specifications, quality standards, and inspection requirements.
Planning and managing labour, plant, and material resources effectively.
Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and commercial teams to identify and resolve delivery challenges.
Chairing site coordination meetings and maintaining strong communication with all stakeholders.
Monitoring progress and implementing recovery plans where required.
Producing and maintaining accurate site records, permits, and reporting documentation.
Promoting continuous improvement and best practice throughout the project.
About You
We're looking for a proactive leader with a strong background in heavy civil engineering and complex infrastructure projects.
You will ideally have:
Proven experience as a Site Manager on major civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
Strong knowledge of earthworks, reinforced concrete, drainage, utilities, structures, or highways.
Experience managing multiple subcontractors within live construction environments.
Excellent leadership, planning, and communication skills.
A thorough understanding of construction health and safety legislation and CDM requirements.
The ability to drive programme while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Full UK Driving Licence
A relevant qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction Management would be advantageous
