How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

If you're an experienced Heat Pump Engineer who's tired of being just another number, this is an opportunity to join a business that's investing heavily in its people and its future.

We're looking for a technically strong engineer to become a key part of a growing London team. The role is predominantly focused on servicing, fault-finding and repairing commercial heat pump systems, with the opportunity to work on larger installation projects across commercial CAT A and CAT B fit-outs.

No two weeks are the same. Most days you'll be attending 2-4 service visits across London, diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs and keeping critical systems running. When installation projects come up, you'll be part of dedicated teams delivering commercial installations that typically run for 2-3 weeks.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys sharing their knowledge. You'll be a go-to technical support for junior engineers, helping them develop their skills on site. There's already a management structure in place, so this isn't about managing people-it's about being recognised as a respected technical expert within the team.

    What we're looking for

You'll already have solid experience working on commercial heat pump systems and be confident diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs and delivering first-class service to customers.

    You'll be someone who:

Has proven commercial heat pump experience.
Enjoys fault-finding and solving technical problems.
    Takes pride in high-quality workmanship.
    Is happy working across London.
Wants to help develop less experienced engineers.
Is looking for a long-term career rather than just another job.

    What's in it for you?

    circa £65,000 basic salary
Plenty of overtime available to significantly boost your earnings.
Diverse work across service, maintenance, repairs and installations.
Genuine opportunities to progress as the business continues to grow.
A company that values technical expertise and promotes from within.
The chance to become one of the senior technical engineers in a specialist, expanding team.If you're looking for a role where your experience is genuinely valued, you'll have real variety in your work, and you'll be given the opportunity to progress your career as the business grows, we'd love to hear from you.
