How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

With a collaborative culture and a diverse portfolio spanning Education, Industrial & Advanced Manufacturing, Residential and Facade Remediation, you'll become part of a team that values creativity, technical excellence and professional development.

    The Role

As a Project Architect, you'll take responsibility for delivering architectural projects from concept through to completion, ensuring high-quality design solutions are successfully realised on site.

Working closely with clients, consultants and contractors, you'll coordinate project teams, manage programmes and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest design and technical standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Architect who enjoys balancing design creativity with technical delivery while mentoring junior team members and contributing to the continued growth of a thriving architectural studio.

    Key Responsibilities

Lead architectural projects across all RIBA work stages, from concept design through to completion

Manage project programmes, design coordination and project deliverables

Prepare and review planning applications, technical drawing packages and construction information

Coordinate multidisciplinary consultants, contractors and client teams

Ensure projects are delivered to programme, budget and quality expectations

Maintain compliance with UK Building Regulations, Planning legislation and industry best practice

Mentor and support junior Architects and architectural staff

Attend client meetings, design workshops, site inspections and contractor meetings

Resolve technical challenges and contribute to innovative design solutions throughout project delivery

    The Ideal Candidate

To be considered for this Project Architect position, you'll ideally possess the following:

    ARB Registered Architect

Approximately 5 years' post-Part III experience

Proven experience working as a Project Architect within a commercial architectural practice

Experience leading projects through multiple RIBA work stages

Excellent design, technical detailing and presentation skills

A strong portfolio demonstrating projects from concept through construction

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong organisational and project management abilities

Proficiency in BIM software, ideally Revit and/or ArchiCAD

    Desirable Experience

Applications are particularly welcomed from Architects with experience in one or more of the following sectors:

    Education

    Industrial & Advanced Manufacturing

    Residential

    Facade Remediation

Experience delivering both new build and refurbishment projects would also be highly advantageous.

Previous experience using ArchiCAD would be beneficial, although full training will be provided for the successful candidate.

    What's On Offer?

Salary in the region of £38,000-£45,000

Employee-owned business offering a collaborative and supportive working culture

Opportunity to work on high-profile projects across a diverse range of sectors

Genuine career progression within an award-winning architectural practice

Ongoing professional development and software training

Modern Nottingham studio with a collaborative team environment
