As a dedicated Bookkeeper you will love interacting with your client portfolio to ensure their Technologies work for them across systems including CCH, Xero, Sage and QuickBooks. You will enjoy offering support to both the clients and their people particularly as they continue to embrace MTD and any other regulatory reporting changes.

The Role

This opportunity would suit an experienced Bookkeeper who enjoys working closely with owner-managed businesses, helping clients maintain accurate financial records and making the most of modern cloud accounting technology.

Working across a varied portfolio of clients, your responsibilities will include:

Managing bookkeeping for a portfolio of SME and owner-managed business clients.

Preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts.

Preparing and submitting VAT Returns.

Maintaining accurate accounting records throughout the financial year.

Supporting clients using cloud accounting software including CCH, Xero, Sage.& QuickBooks

Assisting clients with software queries and encouraging best practice.

Building trusted, long-term relationships through excellent client service.

About You

You may be AAT qualified, studying towards qualification or qualified by experience, with a strong bookkeeping background gained within an accountancy practice.

Ideally you will have:

Experience managing bookkeeping for multiple clients.

Strong working knowledge of accounting software.

Experience preparing and submitting VAT Returns.

Excellent organisational and communication skills.

A proactive and client-focused approach.

What's in it for You?

Salary of £38,000 - £43,000, dependent upon relevant experience and qualifications. Salary banding is a guide set by Fletcher George.
