How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
    Location: Isleworth, London
    Start Date: September 2026
    Salary: £100 per day

Are you a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant who enjoys making a genuine difference to the life of one young person every single day?
Do you have the patience, resilience and positivity to build trusting relationships with learners with autism and additional needs?
Are you looking for a rewarding SEN Teaching Assistant opportunity in Isleworth, London where your support will help young adults develop confidence, independence and life skills?
TeacherActive is delighted to be working with a highly respected independent specialist education provider in Isleworth, London, seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026. This is a full-time, five-days-per-week, one-to-one support role, offering the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the educational journey of a young adult with additional learning needs.

The setting is recognised for providing outstanding personalised education within a supportive, autism-focused environment. With modern facilities, specialist resources and a strong emphasis on developing independence, communication and life skills, this is an excellent opportunity to join a passionate and forward-thinking team in Isleworth, London.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide dedicated one-to-one support, helping your learner access education, engage with learning activities and build the confidence needed to succeed both inside and outside the classroom. You will adapt learning approaches to suit individual needs, encourage independence, promote positive behaviour and celebrate every achievement, no matter how big or small.

Working closely with teachers, therapists and the wider support team, you will help create engaging, practical learning experiences that motivate students and develop essential life skills. This role would suit someone who is patient, empathetic, proactive and passionate about supporting young people with autism and additional needs to achieve meaningful outcomes and prepare for life beyond education.

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will have:

Experience supporting children or young adults with SEND, autism or additional learning needs within education, care or support settings
A calm, patient and nurturing approach with excellent behaviour management skills
    Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for helping young people develop confidence, independence and life skills
A proactive attitude and commitment to creating positive outcomes for every learner
In return for the above, you can expect to receive:

A dedicated team of consultants to guide and support you throughout the onboarding process
Access to CPD courses and certificates through the My-Progression channel
Competitive pay of £100 per day
The opportunity to work within a supportive specialist setting in Isleworth, London
TeacherActive Referral Scheme – Receive up to £100 when you refer a friend. Terms and Conditions apply
Our staff are paid on a PAYE basis, giving you peace of mind that the correct level of Tax and National Insurance is being paid, with no unexpected administration charges deducted from your hard-earned pay.
