How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Interim Finance & Transformation Lead (12-Month FTC)

    Salary: £63,000–£68,000
    Location: Hybrid (London – approximately one day per week in the office)
    Contract: 12-month fixed-term contract

    The Opportunity

    A well-established international charity is seeking an experienced Interim Finance & Transformation Lead to oversee financial control, statutory reporting and finance transformation during an exciting period of organisational change.

    This is a senior leadership role combining hands-on financial accounting with the opportunity to drive process improvements, strengthen controls and lead a programme of finance transformation.

    Key Responsibilities

    Lead statutory accounts preparation, external audit and month-end/year-end reporting.
    Maintain a robust financial control environment, ensuring compliance and strong governance.
    Oversee balance sheet management, treasury, tax, fund accounting and reconciliations.
    Lead, develop and support the financial accounting team.
    Deliver finance transformation projects, including improvements to systems, processes and reporting.
    Provide financial insight and technical advice to senior stakeholders.
    Support strategic decision-making and continuous improvement across the finance function.

    About You

    You'll be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with:

    Significant post-qualified experience in financial accounting and financial control.
    Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and charity accounting (SORP desirable).
    Experience managing and developing finance teams.
    A proven track record of leading finance transformation or process improvement projects.
    Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
    The ability to balance strategic thinking with operational delivery.
    Experience within the charity or not-for-profit sector is essential. Ideally within an international charity.
