Teach Now is expanding its team of dependable Supply Teaching Assistants working across primary schools in Barnet.
This flexible role is suitable for experienced teaching assistants who want to choose their working days, gain experience in different schools or balance education work with other commitments.
As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you may support pupils in EYFS, KS1 or KS2. Bookings can include general classroom assistance, small-group interventions and support for pupils with special educational needs.
Typical Duties
Supporting the class teacher with daily learning activities
Working with individuals and small groups
Helping pupils remain engaged and complete their work
Supporting reading, phonics, writing and basic mathematics
Assisting pupils with SEN or additional learning needs
Preparing resources and maintaining an organised classroom
Supervising pupils during transitions and break periods
Following school safeguarding and behaviour policies
Who Should Apply?
We would like to hear from candidates who have:
At least six months of recent experience supporting children
Primary school, nursery, SEN or youth-work experience
Good communication and relationship-building skills
A calm, patient and encouraging approach
The ability to follow instructions and use initiative
The right to work in the UK
A strong commitment to safeguarding
A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential for every booking.
