Location: Near Uxbridge (commutable from Uxbridge, Slough, High Wycombe, Watford, Hemel Hempstead, Rickmansworth, Gerrards Cross, Hayes, Harrow and surrounding areas)
Salary: £35,500 starting salary (£18.45ph)
Start Date: ASAP (notice periods considered)

This role would suit candidates with experience in pipe assembly, pipe bending, tube manipulation, mechanical assembly, fabrication or general manufacturing engineering who are confident working from engineering drawings and producing precision components to tight tolerances.

As a Pipes Assembly Operative, you'll play a key role in manufacturing and assembling precision pipework used within world-leading aerospace products where quality and accuracy are critical.

Working Hours

Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
Friday: 8:00am – 12:00pm
Overtime available daily at 1.5x basic rate (£27.50ph)

Pipes Assembly Operative – Responsibilities

* Manufacturing and assembling precision pipework for aerospace applications

* Setting and operating specialist pipe bending machinery

* Hand-forming and fitting pipes using form blocks and measuring equipment

* Cutting pipes using electric saws and associated equipment

* Working from engineering drawings, specifications and build instructions

* Forming and adjusting pipework to precise dimensional tolerances

* Using measuring equipment including verniers and calipers to verify quality

* Carrying out self-inspection throughout the manufacturing process

Pipes Assembly Operative – Requirements

* Previous experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment

* Experience in mechanical assembly, pipe assembly, pipe bending, fabrication or similar engineering roles

* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

* Experience using engineering hand tools including torque wrenches

* Competent using inspection equipment such as verniers and calipers

* Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
