How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    HR Advisor

    Join one of the East Midlands’ largest autism-specific charities and help create an organisation where people feel supported, respected and able to do their best work.

    As HR Advisor, your advice, energy and judgement will help managers and colleagues make fair, consistent and values-led decisions every day.

    We’re looking for a confident, engaging and people-focused HR professional who shares our commitment to making a positive difference for autistic people and their families.

    This is a great opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys variety, pace and the chance to shape a supportive, inclusive and high-performing workplace.

    Based in Worksop and reporting to the HR Manager, you will be a trusted first point of contact for HR queries, helping managers navigate people matters with clarity and confidence.

    You’ll work closely with managers across our services, making regular face-to-face visits and helping embed a positive HR culture built on fairness, consistency and respect.

    You’ll bring CIPD Level 5, or equivalent experience, alongside sound, up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and good HR practice — and the ability to apply it in a practical, people-centred way.

    Key responsibilities

    Lead fair, thorough investigations into conduct, capability and grievance matters.

    Support effective absence management, ensuring colleagues are treated with dignity while policies are applied consistently and confidently.

    Review contracts and change-of-circumstances letters prepared by the HR Administrator, ensuring accuracy, clarity and a positive colleague experience.

    Produce meaningful management information and reports that help leaders make informed decisions.

    Design and deliver practical HR training and learning tools that build confidence, consistency and good practice across our teams.

    Support continuous improvement across the HR team, championing learning, collaboration and smarter ways of working.

    What we offer:

    *

    *

    * Generous occupational sick pay

    * 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays — 33 days in total

    * A thorough induction, including autism-specialist training

    * Paid job-related qualifications during employment

    * Free initial DBS check

    * Employer pension scheme

    * A friendly, supportive working environment

    * Excellent career progression opportunities

    * Refer-a-friend scheme

    * Access to counselling support

    * Paid maternity, paternity and adoption leave
