SEND Inclusion Support is proud to be recruiting on behalf of one of our valued partner schools for an exceptional SEN Headteacher to lead an exciting new specialist provision.
This is a rare opportunity to establish and shape a brand-new independent school for children aged 4–11 years with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), many of whom have additional complex learning, communication, and sensory needs. As the founding Headteacher, you will play a pivotal role in creating an outstanding learning environment, developing a strong school culture, and leading a dedicated team committed to transforming young lives.
The Role
As Headteacher, you will provide strategic and operational leadership, ensuring the school delivers outstanding education and care from day one. You will oversee all aspects of school development, including curriculum design, staff recruitment and development, safeguarding, quality assurance, and fostering positive relationships with families and external professionals.

We are looking for someone who has:

Proven leadership experience within a specialist SEN or autism setting.

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant leadership qualifications (or equivalent experience).

A strong understanding of autism and additional complex needs.

Excellent knowledge of safeguarding, SEND legislation, and school improvement.

The ability to inspire, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.

A commitment to achieving exceptional outcomes for children and young people.
