How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Hours & Shift Pattern:

This is a zero-hours role, with shifts offered based on service needs, primarily covering out-of-hours weekends and bank holidays. Shifts may be offered as a single 24-hour shift or two 12-hour shifts (day or night), depending on operational requirements and availability.

The role primarily involves weekend and bank holiday cover.

    Additional commitment:

    * Act as the main point of contact for all out-of-hours calls and incidents.

    * Assess risk and triage situations appropriately.

    * Support and guide care staff in real time.

    * Manage safeguarding concerns and operational escalations.

    * Coordinate emergency staffing cover when required.

    * Maintain accurate records on internal systems.

    * Ensure clear and structured handovers between shifts.

    * Escalate high-risk issues in line with policy.

    About You:

    * Experience in care, support work, coordination, or similar environments.

    * CAMHS experience is desirable but not essential.

    * We are looking for calm, confident professionals who can think clearly under pressure and make effective decisions in real time.

    * Strong safeguarding awareness and escalation skills.

    * Excellent communication and decision-making ability.

    * The ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations.

    * Competence using digital systems.

    * Confidence working independently in a remote role.

    Important Requirements:

    * Must be comfortable working out-of-hours consistently.

    * Must be willing to work weekends and bank holidays.

    * This is a zero-hours contract, with work offered in line with operational requirements.

    * Enhanced DBS and full pre-employment checks required
