How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

You'll work across AWS infrastructure, CI/CD, networking, identity, security, and infrastructure as code, collaborating closely with engineering and security teams to ensure the platform remains secure, resilient, and scalable.

If you're a hands-on DevOps Engineer who enjoys working across cloud infrastructure and security and wants to have a genuine impact in a growing business this could be a great next step.

    What You'll Be Doing

    * Design, build, and maintain scalable and secure AWS cloud infrastructure

    * Work across AWS services including EC2, Lambda, and other core AWS technologies

    * Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions

    * Manage AWS networking, including VPCs, subnets, security groups, routing, and connectivity

    * Provision and manage infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code principles

    * Implement platform hardening and security best practices across the AWS environment

    * Integrate cloud infrastructure and applications with security tooling, including SIEM, DLP, and other security platforms

    * Manage identity and access controls across the environment, including SSO, IAM, and least-privilege access

    * Monitor and improve platform security, reliability, performance, and resilience

    * Support and optimise MongoDB environments

    * Work closely with engineering, security, and product teams to improve deployment processes and developer experience

    * Contribute to the evolution of DevOps and cloud engineering best practices as the company continues to scale

    What We're Looking For

    * Proven commercial experience in a DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Platform Engineering role

    * Strong hands-on experience with AWS, including services such as EC2 and Lambda

    * Strong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code

    * Exposure to Kubernetes and Docker environments, with an understanding of deploying, managing, and troubleshooting workloads

    * Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions

    * Good understanding of AWS networking, including VPCs, subnets, routing, and security groups

    * Experience with cloud security and platform hardening

    * Knowledge of integrating platforms with security tooling such as SIEM and DLP solutions

    * Experience managing identity and access controls, including AWS IAM and SSO

    * Commercial experience working with MongoDB

    * Strong understanding of security best practices, authentication, authorisation, and least-privilege principles

    * Scripting tool of your choice - Bash, Rust, Python etc.

    * A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement

    * Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across technical teams

    Don't Tick Every Box?

That's okay. The company is open to speaking with candidates who may not have experience across every technology listed above.

    Why Join?

-Join an exciting and fast-growing FinTech scale-up

    -Fully remote role with flexibility

-Work across a modern AWS cloud environment

-Take ownership of cloud security, platform hardening, and identity

-Play a key role in building and scaling the platform as the business grows

-Have a genuine influence on technical decisions and engineering practices

-Clear opportunities to develop your career alongside a rapidly growing business

-Work with a collaborative team where your ideas and experience are valued

If you're an experienced DevOps Engineer looking for the opportunity to work across AWS, Terraform, CI/CD, cloud security, networking, and platform engineering in a fast-growing FinTech, we'd love to hear from you.
