How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Are you a qualified electrician looking to step into, or further your career within, the booming commercial solar sector with a growing renewables business?

Do you want to join a company offering excellent flexibility, full training, and the chance to rapidly progress as their O&M division doubles in size over the next 12 months?

This established renewable energy specialist focuses heavily on commercial solar installations and operations & maintenance across the South West. Over their 15 years of operations they have built a standout reputation in the region. With O&M newly prioritised for major investment and expansion, they are now looking to add motivated electricians to their core field team.

In this role, you will operate directly from home to commercial solar sites across the South West, carrying out fault finding, planned preventative maintenance, and reactive repairs. This is an autonomous position that offers strong work-life balance and flexibility. While rare, any occasional stays away come with a 20% uplift on earnings.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified electrician, whether you already have solar experience or are looking for full training to make the transition from domestic solar or general electrical maintenance, to build a long-term career in a high-growth division.

    The Role

Electrician working on Commercial Solar sites
Fault finding, pre-planned maintenance, and reactive repair work
Field-based position running directly from home to site with flexible working hours
Paid travel time (kicks in after 1 hour each way) and a 20% uplift for rare stays away.
    The Person

    Qualified Electrician
Driven by long-term progression and team growth
Solar experience or O&M background (desirable - full training into commercial solar provided for the right character)
    CSCS card desirable
    Reference Number: BBBH(phone number removed)
