How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Paralegal - Real Estate

    Field Seymour Parkes is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join its highly regarded Real Estate team.

    This is an excellent opportunity for a law graduate or aspiring legal professional to gain hands-on experience within a leading commercial law firm, working alongside experienced lawyers on a broad range of high-quality real estate matters. You will play an important role in supporting the team while developing your legal knowledge and practical skills in a supportive and collaborative environment.

    The Role

    Working under the supervision of qualified lawyers, you will assist with a variety of commercial property and real estate matters, providing both legal and administrative support to ensure transactions progress efficiently.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    * Opening new files and undertaking client due diligence and Know Your Client (KYC) procedures

    * Preparing correspondence, reports, legal documents and attendance notes

    * Conducting legal research and property-related searches

    * Managing and maintaining electronic documents, databases and records

    * Assisting with document reviews, proof-reading and document production

    * Supporting transaction management and completion processes

    * Liaising with clients, agents and other third parties

    * Assisting with billing, time recording and other administrative processes

    * Supporting business development activities and client events where required

    About You

    We are looking for someone who:

    * Has a degree (minimum 2:1 preferred)

    * Has a genuine interest in Real Estate and Commercial Property law

    * Possesses excellent organisational and communication skills

    * Has strong attention to detail and a proactive approach

    * Is confident managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines

    * Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a team

    * Demonstrates a commitment to delivering exceptional client service
