Behavioral Support Assistant

Academics are looking for a Behavioral Support Assistant to join fantastic SEN schools in Huddersfield.

As a Behavioural Support Assistant, you'll work closely with teaching staff to promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and academic progress.

Key Responsibilities of a Behavioral Support Assistant in Huddersfield:

Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with behavioural or emotional difficulties.
Implement individual behaviour support plans and use de-escalation strategies effectively.
Encourage and model positive behaviour and resilience.
Support teachers in delivering engaging, inclusive lessons.

Work collaboratively with SENCOs, teachers, and pastoral staff to ensure consistent support for each pupil.Requirements of a Behavioral Support Assistant:

Understanding of autism, ADHD, trauma-informed practice, or other additional needs.
Calm, confident, and nurturing approach to managing challenging behaviour.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
