How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Significant senior leadership experience within adult social care.

Expertise in learning disability, autism and/or complex needs services.

A strong track record of leading large, multi-site operational services.

Experience managing significant budgets and delivering sustainable, high-quality services.

Strong commercial awareness and experience of service development and growth.

Excellent leadership, communication and relationship-building skills.

The ability to influence, inspire and lead through change.

A passion for person-centred care, strengths-based practice and improving people's lives.

Why Join The Wilf Ward Family Trust?

As an ambitious, values-led charity, we're investing in digital innovation, developing new models of support and creating opportunities for people to live more independent lives.

    In return, you'll receive:

    Salary of £63,049 per annum.

    £5,000 car allowance.

    Hybrid working.

    Generous annual leave entitlement.

    Competitive pension scheme.

Ongoing learning and professional development opportunities.

The opportunity to influence organisational strategy and shape the future of Supported Living.

The chance to make a lasting difference to the lives of the people we support.

If you're ready to lead change, inspire others and help shape the future of Supported Living, we'd love to hear from you.
