How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Structural Engineer

    Location: Coventry
    Salary: £35,000-£46,000 + Benefits

    An established and growing offsite construction specialist is looking to recruit an experiencedStructural Engineer to join its technical team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on innovative panelised timber frame and MMC projects, supporting the delivery of high-quality, sustainable buildings across the UK.

    The Role

    Working within a collaborative design team, you will be responsible for delivering structural engineering solutions from concept through to manufacture and installation. You'll work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, accurately and on programme.

    Key Responsibilities

    Produce structural calculations and engineering designs for timber frame and panelised construction projects.

    Develop practical engineering solutions using software such as Revit, Tekla, Graitec and Microsoft Excel.

    Liaise with design, manufacturing, delivery and project teams throughout the project lifecycle.

    Review technical drawings and ensure designs comply with current building regulations and industry standards.

    Support continuous improvement of engineering processes and design efficiency.

    Provide technical guidance to colleagues and contribute to maintaining high quality standards.

    Ensure health and safety and CDM principles are considered throughout the design process.

    Work closely with clients and project teams to meet key milestones and project deadlines.

    About You

    Degree qualified in Structural or Civil Engineering (or equivalent).

    Minimum 4 years' experience within structural engineering, ideally in offsite construction, timber frame or MMC.

    Strong understanding of UK construction methods and structural design principles.

    Proficient with engineering software including Revit, Tekla or similar.

    Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

    Organised, self-motivated and capable of managing multiple projects.

    Passionate about delivering high-quality engineering solutions and driving continuous improvement.
