How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Interaction Engineering 

    Welder/Fabricator

    We're a specialist manufacturer of premium steel products for residential, commercial, and landscaping projects across the UK. As our business continues to grow, we're looking for a skilled and motivated Welder/Fabricator to join our workshop team.

    This is an excellent opportunity to work with high-quality materials, modern equipment, and a friendly, supportive team that takes pride in delivering exceptional craftsmanship.

    The Role

    As a Welder/Fabricator, you'll be responsible for producing a range of bespoke corten steel products to the highest standards. Working from technical drawings, you'll fabricate, weld, and finish products ready for installation or delivery to customers.

    Key Responsibilities

    MIG welding and fabrication of steel products

    Reading and interpreting technical drawings

    Cutting, grinding, drilling, and preparing materials

    Fabricating bespoke products to tight tolerances

    Carrying out quality checks throughout production

    Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment

    Working collaboratively with the production team to meet production deadlines

    Assisting with continuous improvements in manufacturing processes

    About You

    We're looking for someone who has:

    Previous experience as a Welder/Fabricator

    Strong MIG welding skills

    The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

    Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing quality work

    A positive attitude and strong work ethic

    Good problem-solving skills

    The ability to work independently and as part of a team

    Desirable (but not essential)

    Experience working with corten steel, mild steel, or stainless steel

    TIG welding experience

    Experience using fabrication machinery and workshop equipment

    Full UK driving licence
