Salary up to £39,646.94per annum, plus, company van & fuel card
42.5 hours per week (8-5 Monday- Friday)
About the role:
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Multi-Skilled Operative to join our team, supporting a busy voids repairs and maintenance contract in Leeds. This is a hands-on role focused on preparing empty social housing properties to a safe, high-quality, lettable standard, helping residents move into homes that are ready first time.
You will work across a range of void properties, carrying out end-to-end repairs and refurbishment works across multiple trades. This role offers strong workload stability and the opportunity to take pride in delivering properties back to clients efficiently and to a consistently high standard.

Duties:
You will be responsible for completing repairs and maintenance works within void social housing properties, ensuring homes are brought back to lettable standard safely, efficiently, and within agreed timescales.
Carry out day-to-day repairs and maintenance across void social housing properties
Replace and repair skirting boards, architraves, and internal door frames
Install and adjust kitchen units, worktops, and cupboard doors
Repair or replace internal doors, handles, locks, and hinges
Identify and repair minor plumbing issues including leaks, dripping taps, and blocked sinks
Carry out patch plastering and make good damaged walls and ceilings
Complete wall and floor tiling repairs, including grouting and sealing
Undertake painting and decorating to a professional finish as part of void refurbishment works
Ensure all work is completed to specification and quality standards before handover
Report any additional works or defects identified during inspections
Accurately record job details, materials used, and completion notes using handheld devices or job sheets
Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good working order
Manage workload efficiently to meet void turnaround targets and service level agreementsRole Criteria:
Proven experience in domestic repairs and maintenance across multiple trades (e.g. carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling, decorating)
Full UK driving licence
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Excellent customer service skills, with experience working in occupied homes
Good understanding of health and safety regulations and safe working practices
Ability to use handheld devices or job management systems to record work
Willingness to participate in out-of-hours emergency rotaBenefits we can offer you.
