How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

As the founding Registered Care Manager, you will lead the branch through CQC registration, build a high-performing local team, and drive sustainable growth while ensuring the highest standards of quality, compliance, and person-centred care.

    Avout the Role

    As the Registered Care Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the successful mobilisation, registration, and operational leadership of the new domiciliary care branch. Registered Care Manager will ensure the service delivers safe, effective, and high-quality care while building strong relationships with clients, healthcare professionals, commissioners, and the local community.

    Although you will have full accountability for the branch, you will be supported by dedicated central recruitment, marketing, quality, and compliance teams throughout the registration process and beyond. This allows you to focus on building a successful local service while benefiting from the infrastructure of an established organisation.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Lead the branch through successful CQC registration and maintain full regulatory compliance.

    * Provide overall leadership and management of the domiciliary care service.

    * Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing care and office team.

    * Work closely with central recruitment teams to attract, onboard, and retain quality care staff.

    * Build strong relationships with commissioners, healthcare professionals, local authorities, and community partners.

    * Drive sustainable branch growth while maintaining excellent customer outcomes and service quality.

    * Oversee staffing, rota management, workforce planning, and resource allocation.

    * Monitor quality assurance, safeguarding, audits, and continuous improvement activities.

    * Manage branch budgets, performance targets, and operational KPIs.

    * Promote a positive, values-led culture focused on high-quality, person-centred care.

    About You

    * Previous experience managing or deputising within a CQC-regulated domiciliary care service.

    * Registered Manager experience or the confidence and capability to step into a Registered Manager position.

    * Strong understanding of CQC regulations, safeguarding, governance, and quality standards.

    * Proven leadership skills with experience building, motivating, and developing teams.

    * Commercial awareness with the ability to balance quality, operational performance, and sustainable growth.

    * Excellent communication, organisational, and relationship-building skills.

    * Resilient, proactive, and confident working both independently and collaboratively with central support teams.

    * Full UK driving licence.

    Benefits

    * 25 days' annual leave (increasing with length of service)

    * Blue Light Card, EAP, and employee recognition reward

    * Ongoing training, development, and career progression opportunities

    * Employee recognition and wellbeing support

    * Full support from a Regional Manager, Quality Team, and peer network

    * Commission-based bonuses
