How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Hays Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Wolverhampton to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 2 Teacher for a full academic year position starting in September 2026.
    This is an exciting opportunity to join a school that is committed to nurturing confident, happy and successful learners.     Staff work collaboratively and are passionate about creating engaging learning experiences that meet the needs of every child.The successful candidate will take responsibility for a Year 2 class and play a key role in supporting pupils as they progress through Key Stage 1. The school is looking for a teacher who has experience within KS1, a strong understanding of phonics and the ability to plan and deliver high-quality lessons that inspire and challenge pupils.

    Your new role:

    Full-time Year 2 Teacher position
    Planning, preparing and delivering engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum
    Delivering high-quality phonics teaching and supporting pupils' literacy development
    Assessing, tracking and monitoring pupil progress
    Creating a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
    Working closely with colleagues, support staff and parents to support pupil achievement
    Dedicated PPA time providedWhat you'll need to succeed:

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
    Recent experience teaching within Key Stage 1
    Strong knowledge of the Year 2 curriculum and assessment requirements
    Experience delivering systematic phonics teaching
    Confident planning and delivering engaging lessons
    Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
    A passion for helping children achieve their full potential
