The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teachers and the wider support team to provide tailored support for pupils with a variety of Special Educational Needs. You will support students within the classroom, in small intervention groups, and on a one to one basis, helping them access learning and achieve their individual goals.

Key Responsibilities
* Support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs throughout the school day.
* Work closely with teaching staff to deliver engaging and accessible learning activities.
* Provide one to one and small group support to help pupils achieve their learning objectives.
* Encourage positive behaviour, communication, confidence, and independence.
* Adapt learning resources and activities to meet individual pupil needs.
* Support pupils' emotional wellbeing and contribute to a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment.
* Build positive relationships with teachers, parents, carers, and external professionals.
* Observe and monitor pupil progress, providing feedback to teaching staff where appropriate.
The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will have:
* A degree (or be in their final year of university) in any subject, or relevant experience working with children or young people.
* Experience supporting children or young people with Special Educational Needs (preferred but not essential).
* A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* The ability to build strong, positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
* A proactive attitude and a genuine passion for helping children achieve their full potential.
