How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Job Introduction

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced receptionist with strong administration skills to join our London Head Office.

As our receptionist, you will help create a warm, professional, and welcoming front-of-house experience, fostering a positive environment for colleagues and visitors and ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the office. Working with people at all levels of the business, you will also be proficient at multi-tasking, providing high-quality administrative support, ensuring our people are well supported and have the resources they need to succeed.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives on supporting others, building strong working relationships, and takes pride in their attention to detail and delivering high-quality work.

This is an in-person, office-based role requiring attendance in the office five days per week.

At Turning Point, it's our job to help people find a new direction in life. If you're looking for a fresh opportunity of your own, join us in this rewarding role and help us make a real difference to those in need.

    Role Responsibility

The responsibilities are wide-ranging and include:

Create a welcoming and professional environment by acting as the first point of contact for colleagues and external guests at our Head Office.

Deliver an exceptional reception and switchboard service, ensuring all enquiries are handled efficiently, professionally, and with a customer-focused approach.

Manage office space and meeting room bookings, maintaining a seamless and well-organised workplace experience.

Oversee office operations and facilities, including housekeeping, health & safety compliance, fire safety procedures, and maintenance coordination.

Support regulatory governance activities by preparing meeting materials, collating reports, and coordinating documentation.

Attend meetings and produce accurate, high-quality minutes and action logs.

Provide proactive administrative support to directors, managers and teams across the organisation.

Coordinate key office administration tasks, including booking systems, purchase orders, stationery supplies, printing and general office resources.

Contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the office, ensuring a professional, efficient, and engaging workplace for all colleagues.

    The Ideal Candidate

You should have excellent attention to detail, be well organised and able to manage various concurrent work priorities. You will have previous experience in a role where there has been a strong focus on continuous improvement. You need to be proficient in MS Office suite, especially Teams, Word and MS Outlook.

We are looking for someone with a positive and enthusiastic approach who will bring their own ideas to the table. Capable of building and developing their own role, they will actively contribute to a positive step change in front of house services and administrative support and effectiveness. You must be a confident communicator and have outstanding interpersonal skills.

Candidates with previous receptionist, personal assistant or administrative support experience who enjoy supporting others, are keen to learn and can confidently build productive and cooperative working relationships will thrive in this position.
