How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Location: Devon
    Package: £350 - £400 per day
    Length: 6 weeks
    Confidential client assignment via G Force Recruitment
    G Force Recruitment is working on a confidential opportunity for an experienced CDM Health & Safety Advisor to support the completion of a new industrial boiler installation within a food manufacturing facility.
    This role will suit a candidate with a strong background in construction health and safety, ideally gained within industrial, mechanical, or manufacturing environments. The successful individual will provide practical CDM and H&S support to the site team, helping to ensure the project is delivered safely, compliantly, and to the highest standards.
    The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of CDM 2015, experience supporting live site activity, and the confidence to engage with site management, contractors, and client representatives in a professional and proactive manner.
    Key responsibilities
    *
    Provide CDM and health & safety support throughout the final stages of the project.
    *
    Carry out site inspections, audits, and safety reviews.
    *
    Monitor compliance with CDM 2015, site procedures, and relevant legislation.
    *
    Support the site team with risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work.
    *
    Liaise with contractors, management, and client representatives to promote safe working practices.
    *
    Identify hazards, raise concerns, and help implement effective corrective actions.
    *
    Support handover and close-out activities from a health and safety perspective.
    Requirements
    *
    Proven experience in a CDM, Health & Safety, or Construction Safety Advisor role.
    *
    Strong understanding of CDM 2015 and construction site compliance.
    *
    Experience within industrial, mechanical, manufacturing, or similar environments.
    *
    Excellent communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills.
    *
    Confident working independently and alongside site and project teams.
    *
    Relevant health and safety qualifications would be advantageous.
