How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Role: Project Engineer  

    Type: Permanent, Full Time

    Hours: Onsite – 37.5 hours per week

    Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum + Benefits  

    Location: Aberdeen

    Owen Daniels are supporting a leading manufacturing company, and we are looking for a Project Engineer to join on a permanent basis, due to growth in the business.

    Project Engineer – Key responsibilities:

    Support the project team by preparing quotations, assessing work requirements, identifying risks, and estimating delivery timescales.
    Build strong customer relationships, develop new opportunities, and attend project meetings with customers and site teams across the UK.
    Manage customer communication throughout the project and support successful project completion, including reviews and lessons learned.
    Oversee project delivery by managing contracts, costs, timescales, changes, and risk assessments to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
    Provide on-site support across the UK and internationally, ensuring the right people, equipment, and information are available throughout the project. 

    Project Engineer - Essential Skills & Experience:

    Experience in the electrical rotating machines industry with a relevant BTEC/HND qualification in Electrical Engineering.
    Understanding of project financial impacts, with a focus on delivering successful outcomes.
    Strong customer focus with excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills.
    Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with experience supervising others preferred.
    A proactive and motivated approach with a commitment to continuous improvement and flexibility to work on sites across the UK and internationally.
