How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Mechanical Design Engineer – Nuclear

    Location: Hybrid Working

    The Role

    As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will join an experienced engineering team delivering innovative Mechanical Design solutions for major Nuclear projects. You’ll work across the full design lifecycle, producing high-quality engineering designs that support complex, safety-critical systems.

    Working alongside multidisciplinary teams, you’ll ensure every Mechanical Design solution meets stringent Nuclear quality, safety and regulatory standards.

    Responsibilities

    ·Produce detailed Mechanical Design solutions using 3D CAD software.

    ·Develop engineering drawings, models and technical documentation.

    ·Deliver Mechanical Design calculations and engineering assessments.

    ·Participate in design reviews and technical meetings.

    ·Collaborate with manufacturing, project, commissioning and engineering teams.

    ·Ensure all Mechanical Design activities comply with Nuclear industry standards and client specifications.

    ·Support continuous improvement across Mechanical Design processes.

    About You

    We’re looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in a regulated engineering environment. Experience within Nuclear is welcome but not essential.

    You’ll ideally have:

    ·Proven Mechanical Design experience using 3D CAD software.

    ·A strong understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing methods and materials.

    ·Experience producing engineering drawings and technical documentation.

    ·Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

    ·Degree or Masters Qualified in a relevant engineering discipline.
