How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Our client is a specialist M&E subcontractor who have been established for over 20 years.

    They specialise in carrying out building services for the following sectors: commercial offices, residential, data centres and education. Their projects range from £10M-£50M MEP value.

    They are a top subcontractor with an excellent reputation for their client portfolio, service and quality of work.

    Role:

    They are currently seeking an MEP Site Manager who will ideally have a mechanical bias. This will be to work on a high end renowned residential project in the West End for 12 months, with an August start date.

    You will be working on 6 high end residential apartments responsible for all mechanical and electrical services, leading on progress meetings and such like.

    You will be responsible for all trades and output on site, keeping the project to programme and moving at pace, ensuring that health and safety standards are high. You will always be looking forward to ensure any issues are avoided through good planning and rectifying any issues promptly if they arise.

    The ideal candidate:

    The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years experience with a building services/mechanical or electrical qualification against their name.

    Super prime residential experience is desired with an attitude which promotes good communication lines, forward planning and relationship building. My client is after somebody that works at pace and has worked on a project where attention to detail is key.
