Clerk of Works job in London for a reputable multidisciplinary consultancy, joining their growing inspection and quality assurance team. The role offers a competitive package of up to £65,000 + Hybrid Working + 25 Days Holiday + Birthday Off + Christmas Shutdown + Private Healthcare.

The consultancy provides services to both private and public sector clients across project management, cost consultancy, CDM/Health & Safety, fire safety, building surveying, and building control, operating nationwide from multiple UK offices. Their quality and inspection team plays a key role in maintaining high standards across residential, commercial, and refurbishment projects. This position will report into senior leadership and offers strong long-term progression as the business continues to expand.

Role & Responsibilities

Undertake regular site inspections to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and UK building regulations
Monitor contractor workmanship, materials, and construction methods
Identify and report defects, non-compliance, or deviations from agreed standards
Provide technical guidance to contractors and project teams
Produce clear and detailed inspection reports
Support quality assurance processes and continuous improvement initiatives
Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders throughout project delivery

Required Skills & Experience

Proven experience as a Clerk of Works or in a similar construction/site inspection role
MRICS or MICWCI qualification essential
Experience in façades and façade remediation advantageous
Strong understanding of UK construction techniques, building regulations, and health & safety standards
Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings
Confident communicator with strong organisational skills
