How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Mechanical or Civil Engineering engineer with around 1-2 years' industry experience, who is looking to develop their technical expertise while working on large-scale, high-profile engineering projects. You'll receive ongoing support and mentoring from an experienced engineering team, providing a clear pathway for professional development and career progression.

    Key Duties:

As a Project Engineer, you'll play a key role in developing both conventional and innovative engineering solutions for complex heavy lifting and transportation projects. The Project Engineer will regularly travel to customer sites across the UK, providing hands-on engineering support throughout the delivery of complex lifting and transportation projects. This offers the opportunity to see projects through from planning to execution, working closely with site teams to ensure safe, efficient, and successful delivery. All travel, accommodation, and transport are fully arranged and covered by the company, allowing you to focus entirely on supporting project execution while gaining invaluable on-site experience across a diverse range of engineering environments.Key Requirements:

A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
Around 1-2 years' post-graduate engineering experience, although strong graduates with relevant industrial placements or internships will also be considered.
Experience gained within engineering, construction, infrastructure, heavy industry, manufacturing, or another project-based environment.
The ability to confidently interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and other engineering documentation.
Experience preparing engineering calculations, method statements, technical reports, and supporting project documentation.
A proactive, problem-solving approach with excellent communication and organisational skills.
A willingness to travel extensively throughout the UK to support customers and project delivery.

    The Package:

£36,000-£40,000 per annum, depending on experience and competence.
Annual Bonus Scheme - Earn up to 15% of your annual salary as a performance-related bonus, based on both personal and company objectives.
39 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8:00am-5:00pm and Friday 8:00am-4:00pm, with a one-hour lunch break with flexibility.
25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays, with the option to carry over up to five days each year and buy or sell up to five additional days.
All travel, hire vehicles, and hotel accommodation are arranged and paid for by the company. Hotel stays are based on a minimum Premier Inn standard, with your own private room provided as standard.
Premium PPE and safety footwear are supplied, ensuring you have everything required to work safely on site.
Access to the company's dedicated engineering academy, with structured development, mentoring, and fully funded nationally recognised qualifications and certifications as your career progresses.
Join a global engineering organisation committed to investing in its people, offering genuine long-term opportunities to develop into senior engineering and project management roles
