BASIC SALARY: up to £42,000

JOB DESCRIPTION: Field Service Engineer - Plant Machinery, Plant
 
As one of our Field Service Engineers, you'll be out on the road supporting customers across your local territory, maintaining and repairing a wide range of construction, agricultural, industrial, heavy line and recycling equipment.
 
Your day-to-day will include:
· Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on various machinery.
· Servicing and maintaining equipment to manufacturer standards.
· Delivering first-time fixes wherever possible.
· Using the latest diagnostic software and laptop-based fault-finding tools.
· Building strong relationships with customers and becoming their trusted engineering contact.
· Promoting aftermarket products and service solutions where appropriate.
· Completing job reports using hand held PDA technology.
 
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Field Service Engineer - Plant Machinery, Plant
 
We're looking for someone who enjoys getting stuck into technical challenges and takes genuine pride in providing excellent customer service.
 
Ideally, you'll have:
· An NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Plant Engineering, Service or Maintenance.
· Experience working on plant machinery, construction equipment or similar heavy equipment.
· Strong knowledge of hydraulics, transmissions, axles, electrical systems and CAN-bus diagnostics.
· The confidence to work independently in a field-based environment.
· Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
· A full UK driving licence.
 
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, takes ownership of their work and wants to build long-term relationships with customers.
