How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Maintenance Administrator

    Orsett, Essex (Office-Based)

    £28,865 Basic + 35-Hour Working Week + Monday to Friday + Supportive Team

    Are you an organised Administrator looking for a varied office-based role where you'll be at the heart of a busy engineering team?

    Our client is a well-established mechanical and HVAC contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality maintenance services. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Maintenance Support Administrator to join their friendly, supportive office team based in Orsett, Essex.

    This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong administration background who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, supporting engineers, liaising with clients and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the maintenance department.

    The Role

    As a Maintenance Support Administrator, you will be responsible for:

    Acting as the first point of contact for client enquiries and providing updates on engineer attendance and project progress
    Preparing and issuing quotations for maintenance agreements and remedial works
    Scheduling engineers' site visits and managing their Outlook calendars
    Chasing engineers for service reports following site visits
    Tracking the delivery and collection of refrigerant cylinders
    Updating and issuing mechanical service sheets to clients
    Liaising with manufacturers and assisting with ordering materials
    Providing general administrative support to the maintenance departmentWhat We're Looking For

    Previous administration experience
    Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
    Strong communication skills and a professional telephone manner
    Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
    High attention to detail
    A proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership of your workload
    Experience within the construction, engineering or maintenance sector is desirable but not essentialThe Package

    The successful Maintenance Support Administrator will receive:

    Basic salary of £28,865
    35-hour working week
    20 days holiday + Bank Holidays
    Office-based role in Orsett, Essex
