How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    As an Operations Manager in the Ecommerce industry, you'll oversee the logistics & production departments to ensure smooth, efficient processes that keep things running like clockwork. Based in Derby, this role is all about building then evolving operations while supporting the team to deliver excellent results.

    Description

    The Operations manager will lead both the print production and fulfilment

    Manage daily logistics operations to ensure efficient workflows.
    Oversee inventory management and stock control processes (Materials, Packaging).
    Coordinate with suppliers and Parcel Carrier partners to maintain supply chain efficiency.
    Monitor and evaluate operational performance, identifying areas for improvement.
    Ensure compliance with health and safety standards across all activities.
    Lead and support the logistics team to achieve departmental goals.
    Prepare reports on operational performance for senior management.
    Implement cost-effective planning strategies to optimise material and labour resources and reduce waste.Profile

    A successful Operations Manager should have:

    A hands on management style including management on shop floor teams up to 30 people
    Experience in logistics, fulfilment or production operations management within the Ecommerce or Print industries.
    Strong organisational, and problem-solving skills.
    Excellent planning and forecasting skills
    Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
    Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a logistics setting.
    Excellent communication and coordination abilities.Job Offer
