How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Non-Medical Prescriber in Palliative Care
    Up to £51,132 per annum
    Full Time (37.5 hours) or Part Time (22.5 hours)
    Berkshire & South Oxfordshire Hubs

    Are you a qualified Non-Medical Prescriber (V300) with a background in Palliative Care, Community Nursing or End of Life Care?

    This is an opportunity to join a specialist palliative care service where your prescribing skills and clinical expertise will make a genuine difference to patients living with complex, life-limiting illnesses.

    Working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team, you'll play a key role in delivering responsive, compassionate care that improves comfort, manages complex symptoms and supports patients and families when they need it most.

    Based from one of the Berkshire hubs, you'll work across local services throughout Berkshire West and South Oxfordshire, combining autonomous practice with close collaboration across community and specialist teams.

    The Role

    As a Non-Medical Prescriber, you'll use your advanced clinical knowledge to assess, manage and prescribe for patients with complex palliative care needs.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Carrying out comprehensive clinical assessments
    Independently prescribing to support complex symptom management
    Delivering expert palliative and end of life care
    Providing specialist advice and guidance to patients, carers and healthcare professionals
    Supporting telephone triage and responding to clinical enquiries
    Working collaboratively with GPs, community teams and the wider multidisciplinary team
    Maintaining accurate, high-quality clinical records while advocating for outstanding patient careAbout You

    You'll be an experienced clinician who is confident working autonomously while building strong relationships across multidisciplinary teams.

    You'll have:

    RGN with active NMC registration
    V300 Non-Medical Prescribing qualification
    Previous palliative care experience
    Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
    Excellent communication, assessment and clinical decision-making skills
