Are you an inspiring Science Teacher with a passion for post-16 education? Do you have the knowledge and enthusiasm to support students in achieving outstanding outcomes at Key Stage 5?
We are currently recruiting for a dedicated Science KS5 Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school with a thriving Sixth Form in Perry Barr, Birmingham. This is a full-time, long-term position commencing at the start of the new academic year in September 2026, with the potential to become a permanent role for the right candidate.
The school has been rated 'Good' by Ofsted and prides itself on providing a positive learning environment where both students and staff are supported to achieve their full potential. With a strong focus on academic excellence and student wellbeing, this is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking and inclusive school community.
Ideally, the school is looking for an experienced Teacher; however, applications from ECTs are welcome also.
The Role
* Teaching Science at Key Stage 5 within a successful Sixth Form setting
* Planning and delivering engaging, high-quality lessons that inspire students to achieve their academic goals
* Tracking, assessing and monitoring student progress effectively
* Contributing to the continued success of the Science department
* Creating a positive and challenging learning environment that supports outstanding outcomes
* Working collaboratively with colleagues and wider school staff
The Ideal Candidate
* Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Has experience teaching Science at secondary level, with the ability to teach at KS5
* Possesses excellent subject knowledge and a passion for Science education
* Demonstrates strong classroom and behaviour management skills
* Has high expectations of student achievement and progress
* Is committed to professional development and continuous improvement
* ECTs are encouraged to apply
