How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    SMSTS Site Manager - Restoration Project

    We are recruiting for a SMSTS Site Manager / Supervisor to support a specialist restoration project in London.

    This role would suit an experienced site professional with a background in restoration, refurbishment, conservation or heritage works, and a strong understanding of documenting asset condition and repair activities throughout a project lifecycle.

    Working on-site, you will oversee a small team of industrial painters and ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    Manage and supervise day-to-day site activities on a restoration project.
    Lead and coordinate a small team of industrial painters.
    Ensure all works are completed safely and in accordance with project requirements.
    Record and document asset conditions before works commence.
    Maintain accurate records of repairs, restoration activities and project progress.
    Liaise with project stakeholders, contractors and site personnel.
    Monitor quality, productivity and programme adherence.
    Ensure site documentation and reporting requirements are maintained throughout the project.

    Essential Requirements

    SMSTS qualification.
    Previous experience as a Site Manager, Site Supervisor or Works Supervisor.
    Experience working on restoration, refurbishment, conservation or heritage-related projects.
    Proven ability to document existing conditions and record completed repair works.
    Experience managing site-based teams and subcontractors.
    Strong communication and reporting skills.
    Ability to work independently and maintain high standards of health, safety and quality.

    Desirable

    Background overseeing industrial painting or specialist coatings teams.
    Experience working on projects involving detailed inspection and condition reporting.
    Knowledge of heritage, restoration or specialist refurbishment environments.

    Contract Details

    Location: Central London
    Duration: 6 months
    Rate: £35 - £38 per hour (DOE)This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist restoration project where strong site leadership, documentation skills and attention to detail will be critical to successful delivery.
