How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    * Supporting the Site Manager to deliver homes safely, on programme and to a high standard.

    * Coordinating subcontractors and monitoring progress on site.

    * Carrying out quality inspections and snagging.

    * Promoting excellent health and safety practices.

    * Learning construction programmes, sequencing and site logistics.

    * Ensuring high standards of workmanship are maintained throughout the build.

    This is a hands-on role offering genuine career progression into Assistant Site Manager and beyond.

    About You

    We're looking for someone who:

    * Holds a valid CSCS Card.

    * Has experience working in a construction trade or on residential building sites.

    * Is eager to move from a trade into site management.

    * Has excellent communication and organisational skills.

    * Is enthusiastic, reliable and keen to learn.

    * Takes pride in delivering quality work and maintaining high safety standards.

    * Holds a full UK driving licence and is happy to travel between sites across Cambridgeshire.

    Applications are welcomed from trades such as carpentry, bricklaying, groundworks, painting and decorating, drylining, roofing, plastering or any other construction background where you've gained valuable site experience.

    What's on Offer

    * Competitive salary.

    * Car allowance.

    * Annual bonus.

    * Pension scheme.

    * Private healthcare.

    * Generous holiday entitlement.

    * Structured training and ongoing mentoring.

    * Excellent opportunities for career progression within a successful and growing residential developer.

    If you're ready to take the first step into site management and build a long-term career within the housebuilding industry, we'd love to hear from you
